Transparency and Sustainability Policy
AURIFIL s.r.l. TRANSPARENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
Growth, transparency, and sustainability are the hallmarks we strive to achieve, grounding our strategies in the belief that ethics and profit cannot be at odds, as long-term economic development cannot exist apart from social and environmental development. Inspired by and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, through the adoption of Commitment 4sustainability®, we commit to market transparency and contribute to generating positive global change, assuming clear environmental and social responsibility.
Transparency
For Aurifil s.r.l., the concept of transparency directly pertains to making relevant information available to all parties and actors in the value chain in a standardized manner, allowing for common understanding, accessibility, clarity, and comparison. Transparency is the necessary prerequisite to ensure the traceability requirement for products, processes, and suppliers within the value chain.
Environmental Responsibility
Aurifil s.r.l. aims to reduce the environmental impact of its activities by adopting an approach focused on continuous monitoring and improvement of performance, starting from compliance with current regulations with constant attention to innovation and research and development.
Specifically, to reduce environmental impact, Aurifil s.r.l. seeks to continually decrease the release of pollutants in production processes, and thus in the environment, and to ensure compliance with increasingly stringent limits related to the presence of hazardous chemicals for humans and the environment in the finished products delivered to customers.
Fully aware that achieving sustainability goals is only possible through collaboration, we constantly seek partnerships with entities that share the same values of environmental protection, people care, and innovation orientation.
Aurifil s.r.l. has defined the following macro-objectives for reducing environmental impact:
Implementing a chemical risk management system aimed at reducing environmental impact from the use of harmful chemicals in production processes and along the production chain, based on the state of technical knowledge, through the implementation of the MRSL ZDHC.
Ensuring constant monitoring and improvement of the quality of wastewater directly and indirectly connected to our production.
Informing and training employees on the company’s sustainability activities through periodic meetings to stimulate research and innovation.
Pursuing legislative compliance by consistently working with partners and suppliers who share the same values and strategic objectives, capable of meeting increasingly challenging market demands.
Adopting advanced management techniques and tools aimed at continuous performance improvement in sustainability.
Periodically sharing achieved results and new improvement goals with stakeholders.
Managing production process waste correctly and responsibly.
Prioritizing district partners to minimize environmental impacts related to material transportation along the production cycle.
Preferentially using raw materials with lower environmental and social impacts, such as recycled or regenerated, certified, traceable, and trackable, organic, and/or linked to sustainable initiatives.
Considering the environmental impact of our activities from the design stage of the collection in a sustainable/circular design perspective.
Seeking production and organizational solutions that ensure greater efficiency in production processes to reduce and/or minimize energy, water consumption, and CO2 emissions. Favoring the purchase of new machinery that guarantees higher levels of innovation and efficiency to reduce or minimize related consumption and impacts.
Seeking and prioritizing solutions aimed at reducing waste production and/or increasing reuse and recycling practices.
Given the objectives outlined above, we have decided to focus our efforts on addressing the issue of risk assessment and management from the use of chemicals systematically. For this reason, we have adopted the CHEM 4sustainability® Protocol, which implements the MRSL ZDHC (www.roadmaptozero.com) with a structured method, monitors the supply chain, and periodically measures the level of application transparently.
Social Responsibility
In the ethical-social sphere, Aurifil s.r.l. commits to respecting workers’ rights according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to adhering to the main conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), national legislation, and the conditions provided by national contracts regarding:
Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.
Child labor.
Minor labor.
Forced labor.
Health and Safety.
Prevention of all forms of discrimination and abuse.
Regularity and transparency in employment contracts, working hours registration, and salary payment.
The company also commits to favoring collaboration with partners who pursue the same social objectives in compliance with applicable regulations and to verifying, where possible, their correct application within partner companies.
The company thus ensures the dissemination of all the contents of this policy within its organization so that it is known and pursued at all levels. At the same time, all tools have been set up to spread these purposes to external parties with whom the company comes into contact, primarily customers and suppliers, as they are directly linked to the manufacturing cycle, but also reference associations, communities, and public institutions to increasingly raise awareness of sustainability issues.
